Description
A Chinese soldier recieves a hero's welcome in this political poster released the People's Republic during its political inception in 1949. The message in the poster asks the public to "welcome people's heroes," but China's future under the PRC would be determined largely by its own policies for social reform, not through military conflicts with other countries. The self-inflicted wounds China inflicted on its own would have a devastating effect on its culture and economy for many years after the PRC came to power.
