Description
Soviet leaders in Russia knew the desperate situation their country was in during 1921 when this propaganda piece was released. Their people were starving, beaten down by continuing warfare and turmoil in Russian society. This poster's realistic portrayal of families in desperate need would inspire the proletariat to take action to save their country and save their own lives. Their goal was to find a common message to carry Russian citizens through their dilemma to greater days ahead.
