Description
This pro-Communist propaganda poster shows a woman and her child walking defiantly through the battlefields where imperialist forces had destroyed land and property fighting against the socialist state of government in China. This poster represents an agressive campaign to eliminate the threat of foreign influence in the region, by "extinguish(ing) (the) fire of war" and "saving peace." This work would have been created during the Korean War, when foreign intervention was at an all-time high.
