Description
As a final plea for public support, this poster from 1982 asks that Soviet Russians "shield the homeland" from the encroaching political pressure it was enduring during the decade. The Red Army soldier in this poster is effectively saluting the 70 year history of the Soviet Union with the knowledge that its days of glory were numbered as an international diplomatic power.
