Description
This is one of a series of posters highlighting the industrial factories established in the Ural Mountains in central Siberia by the USSR. In 1944, Communist Party leaders would develop research to improve steel production and advance the USSR's position as a major military power and industrial leader. The strategic location of these factories also placed them in an area where foreign enemies would find it difficult to attack them in the event of war.
