Description
Sascha Baron Cohen created the fictional character of Borat Sagdiyev, first appearing on the Ali G Show on HBO in 2003. The crude ignorance of Borat's demeanor was endearing and a 2006 movie fully developed the character's misgivings. Borat's comical interpretations of life were the subject of frequent water-cooler conversations in the years following the show and the movie's release.
